The School of Social Welfare provides as much assistance as possible to produce a supportive learning environment. The School awards various types of scholarships to qualified students who have demonstrated academic achievement, leadership, and commitment to social work practice. Selection will be made by the Admission and Scholarship Committee of the School of Social welfare.
Conditions
Applicants cannot be eligible if they are beneficiaries of any outside scholarship.
Only one scholarship will be awarded per recipient.
Scholarships cover maximum four semesters for MSW students and six semesters for Ph.D students.
Applicants must register for at least nine credits in the related semester.
Types
A. Global Research Promotion Scholarship
Graduate students who meet the eligibility requirements of the research program and are selected by the steering committee
B. Scholarship for research assistant
Graduate students who wish to participate in research in the field of social welfare and to develop the competence and qualities required of professional researchers
C. Scholarship for administrative assistant
Graduate students who wish to continue their studies while assisting with administrative tasks within the university (such as in the Department of Social Welfare, the Center for Social Welfare Research, or field practicum programs)
D. Various Endowed Scholarships (Alumni, Corporate and Foundation Contribution)
Graduate students in the Graduate School of Social Welfare who faithfully observe the school regulations and embody the purposes of each endowed scholarship fund
E. Endowed Scholarship (School of Social Welfare, Yonsei University)
For financially disadvantaged master’s students enrolled in regular semesters who are not receiving other scholarships
