Dear Prospective Student,
Thank you for your interest in the University of Maryland School of Social Work! We are excited to offer you an opportunity to learn more about our program. This fall, we are hosting three Virtual Open House sessions. During these one-hour online sessions, you will have an opportunity to hear more about the program, ask about the application process, and meet our Director, Dr. Bethany Lee, as well as a few of our current students.
Virtual Open House Dates: - Tuesday, September 23rd; 9am-10am EST: Applying for a PhD in the US: Advice from current International Students
- Wednesday, September 24th; 12:30-1:30pm EST: UMB Fall 2026 Admission Information Session
- Tuesday, October 7th ; 12:00-1:00pm EST: UMB Fall 2026 Admission Information Session

Please note our PhD Program requires applicants to have an MSW degree to be considered for admission. Applications for Fall 2026 admission are now open and the deadline to apply is January 5, 2026.
